What is the competition?
This is a video competition. After registration you receive an account that you can use to upload your videos and promote them so you can get closer to winning the prize. Your video earns points when it is seen. No voting. When somebody (viewer with unique IP) opens the page of your video, this video is given 1 point. The winner is determined in the last stage of the competition, see below.
What are the stages of the competition?
- Upload period. 14 days to buy virtual credits, upload your videos, and think of the most useful way to get as many viewers as you can.
- Competition period. 14 days in which you promote your video within videomood.com, promote your video outside videomood.com by sharing the link with your friends and through the social networks. Each viewer with unique IP gives you one point just by opening the page with your video. Also each viewer that votes for your cause gives you 1 one point. The summarized points from the views and the votes can make you the winner if you got the highest score at the end of the competition period.
How can I get virtual credits without paying for them?
If you invite a friend and after that he registers at our website you will gain 50 virtual credits. That is our referral program.
Is the registration free of charge?
Yes, the registration is free.
Is the uploading of my videos free of charge?
No. To upload your video you must use some virtual credits to do it. The virtual credits you pay for each upload slot (uploaded video) are obtainable by credit card. First you buy some virtual credits with your credit card, and then you spend virtual credits for each video upload you make. This way you participate in our video competition.
Do you keep any data concerning my credit / debit card?
No. Neither will we, neither the bank server will keep track of your personal credit card data. Each time you decide to buy virtual credits you fill in the details of the credit card you choose.
Except for uploading videos how can I use my virtual credits?
You can use your virtual credits to promote your video inside videomood.com. There are advertising positions on each page of the TOP 10 videos for each competitive cycle.
How can I put my video to be seen on advertised position?
You buy advertising position for the video you want to advertise, at the position you want to be advertised, at the page of one of the TOP 10 videos for the current competitive cycle.
Give me an example for this way of promoting my video?
Let’s assume that you have a video that you want to appear as link and thumbnail when somebody watches the first video of the TOP 10. And also you want your video to appear at the first position in the side roll of advertised videos that appear when somebody watches the first video of the TOP 10. This “first position” is your advertised position. You will do the following actions:
- Choose your video that you want to promote.
- Choose the video of the TOP 10 at which video page you want to advertise.
- Choose the position in the vertical side bar you want your video to appear.
- Spend some virtual credits and you are done.
How do I promote my video outside videomood.com?
You may use any of the “Add this” share buttons we provide below the player. You can share your video link anywhere you like. Send it by email to your friends and even advertise the link in Google. The possibilities are endless. The number of unique visitors is of the essence and it matters.
I advertised at the first position of the first video of the TOP 10. What if this video of the TOP 10 becomes number 2? Will I retain my advertised position on the new first video of the TOP 10?
No. The advertised videos go with the video of the TOP 10 whatever its position in the TOP 10 becomes. So if you have advertised your video at the page of the number 2 video of the TOP 10, and that video climbs up to number 1, your advertised video goes with it at the position you bought. And you are lucky.
How many virtual credits can I buy and when?
For each competitive cycle you can obtain no more than 10 000 virtual credits. 10 virtual credits are equal to 1 USD. If you spend all the 10 000 virtual credits for a particular cycle, you can buy again the sum of 10 000 virtual credits during the next upload period. If you have spend only part of the 10 000 virtual credits, you can buy that part during the next competitive cycle so your virtual credits can hit the 10 000 limit.
Can I change my virtual credits for real money after I have bought them?
No. Virtual credits are not refundable, they can be used for this competition purposes only.
What if I upload video that is forbidden by the “Terms and Conditions” or later is claimed by third party to be in violation of somebody’s legal rights?
We delete the video if the violation is present, or if the legal claim is true. We give you back your virtual credits you spent for uploading the video in question. We do not give you back your virtual credits you spent for promoting it. We do not delete or restrict your account. We do not in any way invalidate other of your videos that you participate with.
Okay, I won the competition. How do I receive the money?
We are glad that you won the prize. We will contact immediately by email – the email that you used when registering your account. You will receive an email containing three things:
- Congratulations, because you are the happy winner.
- Secret word that we must tell you when we reach you by phone.
- Secret word that you must tell us when we tell you our secret word.
Than we can negotiate which way is the best for you to receive the money. We prefer and we strongly recommend bank wire transfer.
To establish the primary connection with you, you must point out your mobile or landline phone or at least you must give us your Skype contact when filling in your registration details. Of course you can fill in this personal (and strictly confidential) data later on, but we must have this information, so we can contact you in case you win the prize.
What will become with my video that won the competition?
It will be put in our winners archive. At the end of the year there is going to be a video competition and only the monthly winners shall participate and compete for the great annual prize. The terms for this event will be announced separately.
I didn’t win the competition. What will become with my videos?
Your videos will not be deleted immediately after the end of the competitive cycle. You will have the opportunity to “remood” them, e.g. to pay for any of your videos that you want to participate in the next video competition, next month. You do not need to upload them again. You can delete your old videos manually as well, but 5 days after the beginning of the new upload period your non-active videos will be deleted automatically in our database.
